Building Inspections
The Department of Building Inspections is dedicated to protecting the health, safety and welfare of the of general public by assuring that all buildings, structures and related equipment are constructed and maintained within the minimum requirements of the Uniform Statewide Building Code. We strive to provide code enforcement which is commensurate with our customer’s expectations for professionalism and accountability. We are committed to establishing policies and procedures which impose no impediments to the construction and use of buildings and structures and that are consistent, simple and defensible.
The Department’s hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm weekdays. Inspections must be requested by 4:00 pm one day in advance. Permit applications are accepted between 8:00 and 3:30 pm. |
