The Goochland County Community Development Department is comprised of eight [8] components:

  • Buildings and Grounds

  • Building Permits & Inspections

  • Convenience Centers
  • Economic Development
  • Environmental & Land Development Review
  • Geographic Information Systems [GIS]
  • Planning & Zoning
  • Public Utilities

    Community Development responsibilities also include support of the County's Planning Commission, the Board of Zoning Appeals, and the Design Review Committee.

    In addition, litter control and abandoned vehicle activities are administered by resource personnel that are part of Community Development.
