Cleaning Up the County One Car at a Time.

A joint effort between the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles and the Goochland County Department of Community Development is working towards cleaning up the counties abandoned / junk motor vehicle problem.

The problems arising from junk vehicles being left to decay in our communities are numerous; they present health and environmental hazards with the many contaminants left to leak out of them, they present safety problems with young children playing in and around them and they can detract from property values in your area.

Getting rid of your abandoned vehicle is just a phone call away. Contact David Lloyd at 804-556-5859, answer a few quick questions and fill out a DMV form and in just a few days the vehicle will be picked up and eventually recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. There is no cost to you; in fact you may even qualify for a rebate.
