Real Estate Tax bills for the first half of 2011 have been mailed. If you have not received your bill(s), please contact the Treasurer’s Office at (804) 556-5806 before the due date.

First half tax bills are due to be paid by Monday, June 6, 2011. Bills not paid by this date are subject to a 10% penalty on the first day after the due date. Interest on unpaid bills will accrue at a rate of 10% per year beginning the first day of the first month after the due date. Failure to receive a bill does not constitute relief of payment of taxes or penalties and interest. United States Postal Service postmarks, not business postal meter stamps, establish the timeliness of mailed payments.

To pay by credit card, log on to www.officialpayments.com or call 1-888-2PAYTAX and use the Goochland County jurisdiction code 1031.

Check or money order payments may be mailed to the Treasurer of Goochland County, P.O. Box 188, Goochland, VA 23063.

Payments may also be made in person at the Treasurer’s Office in the Goochland County Administration Building, 1800 Sandy Hook Road, Goochland, VA between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. In addition, payments may be dropped in the Drop Box located on the side of the Administration Building next to Sandy Hook Road.
